History:
WXTX-DT began operation in 2002.  54.2 originally carried the all-music channel The Tube, but after it shut down they eventually added MGM's all-movie upstart, This TV Network.  The station added the new woman-oriented Escape TV subchannel in the summer of 2014, which became CourtTV Mystery in 2020.

This station has elected to keep analog broadcasts on until the new June 12th deadline.  The station was granted a permit to lower power, change their directional antenna to a narrower pattern and raise their antenna height in June 2017.  That permit was modified in November 2017 to change to RF channel 24, and increase power from 199 to 200 kW.  The license to cover was filed in December 2018.

In February 2022, CourtTV Mystery rebranded as ION Mystery after Scripps acquired the ION networks.

Since the last update to the data in 2022, the channel lineup has changed significantly, with the additions of MeTV, MeTV Toons, Dabl, Heroes and Icons, Start TV and Nosey being current as of October 2025.
