History:

Mark and Renee Carter won a construction permit for this station in December 1993, as a 3 kW class A on 106.3 MHz, with the WSBZ calls, for "Seabreeze". The Broadcasting Yearbook from 1998 shows the station signed on in October 1994, however a license to cover was not filed until 30 April 1996.  When it signed on, it carried a Light Adult Contemporary music format. That lasted until the late 90's when the station flipped to its current Smooth Jazz format.
