- History:
- The station
signed on in the fall of 1992 as Double X 92.5, WWXX, with a hybrid
country and southern classic rock format. The station dropped
that to go contemporary Christian in 1994, and the calls changed to
WXOR. The calls changed again to WQYZ in 1998 and the station
picked up a classic hits (70's & 80's) format; by late 2004 the
station had changed to "Hallalujah 92.5" with gospel music.
Early September 2007 has Clear Channel pulling gospel with a flip to
urban contemporary, as "The Beat". In late October 2017, the
station was discovered to have flipped to a wide-ranging variety
hits type format as "Roulette Radio 92.5". That lasted until
Halloween when "Rock 92.5" debuted with an active rock format.
