History:
Savannah Broadcasting Service put this station on back in 1966 as the FM companion to WORM (AM), with the same Class A 3 kW setup it has today, and transmitting from the same place it transmits from today.  Through the early days up into the early 70's it mostly simulcast the AM, which had a country music format.

Gerald W. Hunt bought this station and its AM sister in 1984.  By the early 90's, the station split from the AM and took the country into a more mainstream direction while the AM flipped to gold-based oldies.  It's been country ever since.
