History:

Elijah Radio was granted a construction permit for a new noncommercial FM station on 90.7 MHz, licensed to Carbon Hill, in February 2022. As originally granted, the station was given 27.5 kW with a deeply directional antenna that would have given the station a peanut-shaped coverage area covering Jasper to Winfield along the I-22 corridor.  The permit was amended in August 2022 to drop power to 10.5 kW, modify the directional pattern and add a small amount of antenna height.  On the last day of March 2023, the company filed a license to cover for the facility, bringing it on air with a simulcast of their Elijah Radio format featuring Religious programming.
