History:
This station dates back to an original construction permit issued to Okaloosa Public Radio, Inc. in May 2007 for a new noncommercial station on 88.9 MHz, licensed to Monroeville.  The original permit was for 50 kW from a site five miles southeast of Monroeville on Drewry Road.  In March 2009, the license was transferred to Wow Community Broadcasting, Inc., owners of contemporary Christian WOWB in Brewton.  In September 2010 they were granted a permit modification to move the transmitter to a site 1.5 miles west of Castleberry on CR-6 in Conecuh County, co-located with Wow's WOWB, with a boosted power to 65 kW at 387 feet HAAT (Height Above Average Terrain). A license to cover was filed in late October 2010; it's unclear what the format was at the very outset.  On 18 November 2010 the station began airing Christmas music with no interruptions.  That continued until shortly after Christmas, when it debuted a Religious Music and Teaching format as the flagship station of "The Life FM" network, which as of early 2026 has 22 stations across the country.

In December 2010, the license was transferred to The Power Foundation.  In October 2012 the station was granted a boost in power to the current 87 kW at 387 feet HAAT.  A license to cover for that facility was granted in November 2012.

In March 2026, The Power Foundation filed to sell the station to the Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute for $75,000. Augusta Radio Fellowship owns two other stations in the state as of the date of this filing, which run the Good News Radio network. It's presumed that this station will pick up that programming after the sale closes.  The FCC granted the license transfer in early May 2026.
