History:
This station dates back to a new construction permit in 1998 for a station with 11.5 kW, broadcasting to the Eufaula area south of Columbus, licensed to Cuthbert.  The station signed on in the summer of 2001 with the WMRZ calls and may have debuted with an adult standards format.  In 2003 the station moved closer to the Columbus market with a tower site east of Fort Benning and took on the WEAM-FM calls, where it flipped to gospel music.
