- History:
- Signed on in 1970
as an ABC affiliate. Still broadcasts from the original short tower
behind the studios on Columbia Highway. This station elected to
discontinue analog broadcasts on April 16th 2009.
By FCC records, in March 2010 they began broadcasting from their
full licensed facilities after a long period of running lower power
on a Special Temporary Authority (STA). For a long time, the station only carried
ABC programming, but they added Laff and Escape to the lineup late
in the summer of 2016.
The station added Cozi TV to the -.4 subchannel in August 2018.
The station was taken off the air by Hurricane Michael, which hit
the area on 10 October 2018. It returned to the air on 17
October 2018.
In September 2021, the station's owner was fined $9,000 for failure
to file quarterly reports in a timely fashion.
In September 2022 it was observed that Antenna TV had replaced COZI
TV on the —.4 subchannel, while ION Mystery had replaced Escape on
the —.2 subchannel. It is unknown how long ago this change
occurred.
