- History:
- This station dates back
to an original construction permit in 2012. A license to cover
was filed in June 2016 but it's unclear if the station was ever
actually on the air. Just a few months after filing, the station
filed to go silent due to loss of tower site; this excuse was strung
out until all the way into March 2020, when the station appears to
have actually come on the air, rebroadcasting the Spanish Azteca
America network, along with a few of its subchannels. The
station also added Get TV at this time.
In July 2021, it was discovered that the Twist network was added to
the lineup, along with True Real on the —.1 subchannel.
Azteca America shut down all programming at the end of 2022. It
was replaced on the —.2 subchannel with Novelisima, and the —.3
channel with Scripps News.
In March 2023, Scripps announced it was shutting down True Real TV and
on most affiliates replacing it with Jewelry Television. In December
2023, the Twist TV network was shut down.
In November 2024, Scripps removed their news network from their over
the air affiliates, leaving it as an online-only FAST (free
ad-supported streaming) channel. It was replaced with the conservative
Salem News Network channel. At the end of 2024 it was also
observed that Novelisima was gone, replaced with the car-racing
MtrSpt1 network.
In February 2025, RabbitEars reported that the new
Scripps-owned crime network Busted would be replacing the
awfully-named MtrSpt1 on the —.2 subchannel as of 1 March 2025.
