History:
This outlet started
out as WVMI-FM on 106.3, class A. At one point it became WBIL (Big Bill),
a soul station. In a frequency shuffle, it got the lucrative class C 93.7
dial position and became WQID. For years, no other station on the coast
had coverage rivalling 94-QID and the station, as a top 40, ruled the market
with 25+ shares. A top 40 challenge from 107.9 (who moved in from Poplarville)
changed all that. The station eventually evolved into adult contemporary
with it's new Magic ID.
