History:

WMGY (MontGomerY) was a country music station until pushed aside by FM competition. For over 20 years the station has been a Southern gospel station. ("It's amazing this station survives because I've maybe 3 times in 25 years seen it with a point rating or higher" - StrayKats) Their biggest audiences are on Friday nights with the city private school football and basketball games. Around June 2000, this station went to a 24 hour format.
