This station started
off on 99.3, a class A "extension" of daytimer AM 1260 WFTW, with the calls
WFTW-FM. An upgrade to class C2 included a move to 99.5, a new identity
as WKSM (Kiss) and a rock format. Prior to that, WTKX 101.5 Pensacola had
a lock on the rock ratings in this market.
