History:
830 came on the air in the mid 80's as WADU, a non-descript adult contemporary/oldies station for the western suburbs of Norco, Reserve, Garyville, etc. Started WADU FM which still operates today. The station engineering is excellent -- it was owned by an AM consulting engineer (DuTreil). The transmitter is in a good conductive site and coverage is great. AM adult contemporary became a dinosaur soon after the station began, so Spanish seemed to be a good alternative. The calls have changed to WFNO (radio Fabulosa New Orleans).
