History:
This station was shoe-horned
into Orange Beach, between 105.7 in Troy, 105.9 in Atmore and Pascagoula,
105.5 in Bay Minette and Mary Ester. The site is so close to the shore
that practically half of its coverage area is over water. With heavy interference
in practically all directions, one would wonder why no less than nine
people applied for the facility. The station came on the air in 1997 as
WCSN, Sunny 105.7 formatted as hot AC. It faces competition from over a
dozen city-grade signals in the area.
