History:
Before becoming the longest-running pop music station in the US, was country WHYD as "Hi-dee 107". Flipped to rock-leaning top 40 as Q 107 in 1973, with the WCGQ calls (Columbus Georgia Q).  Eventually morphed to a more urban-leaning pop music format to better cater to Columbus' demographics.
