History:
Signed on in March of 1967.  In 2007, the station's tower was destroyed by an EF-3 rated tornado that was part of a larger outbreak on March 1st.  The tower fell on and destroyed part of the transmitter building, so the only way viewers can see the channel at the moment via cable or satellite. It is expected that, once the station returns to the air, the digital coverage will be similar to the analog coverage, and serve the city of Columbus as good or better than the city's "official" GPB station, WJSP out of Warm Springs. Along with the rest of the GPB network, shut down analog operations on February 17th, 2009.
